     What a generation we live in!  When iWas growing up we had the choices of 8 tracks, records or cassettes.  In 1987 my friend’s family bought a CD player.  iRemember standing on the merry-go-round and arguing why the record was superior to a compact disc.  iWas wrong. iStill like to argue. iNow stand in line at my local Big Box Mart and argue with other customers about why the CD is better than a MP3 player or an iPod, and why iEnjoy Nintendo more than the Wii. 

     Times have changed.  Men have invented fascinating things. Today’s technology outdates quickly and upgrades are available tomorrow.  Though there are so many changes in our world there is one thing that stays constant —and that is the depravity of man.

     Fortunately there is a solution, a cure, for the wickedness of mankind.  This cure is not found in a needle, a bottle, or on a pharmaceutical shelf.  This prescription is found in God’s Word—the Bible….let me show you what iLearned.

 iSin...Romans 3:23 tells me that “all have sinned”.   The word all means everyone, which includes me— it includes YOU too.

 iOwe...Romans 6:23 warned me that because of my sin iHave a debt to pay.  That debt is death, total separation from God, and if that wasn’t enough, Revelation 20:14 states that “death and hell were cast into the lake of fire” and “this is the SECOND DEATH.”

 iHeard...Fortunately iDidn’t tune God’s Word out.  Romans 6:23 also told me that God’s gift “is eternal life through Jesus Christ”. You see “God commendeth (showed) His love toward us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8) and  “...without shedding of blood is no remission” (Hebrews 9:22b). Romans 10:9  “If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord  Jesus, and shalt  believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”

 iBelieve...iBelieve that iAm a sinner, iBelieve iHave a debt to pay, and  iBelieve that Christ died to pay my debt for me. 

 iLive...According to John 3:16, iNow have everlasting life.  “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

  iKnow...I John 5:13 “These things have iWritten unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may KNOW that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God .”
